Fulfilling My Parent's Dream (By Living My Own)

A love note to freedom, family, and choosing your path.

When people talk about fulfilling their parents’ dreams, often it’s something like:
“They wanted me to become a doctor, so I did.”
“They wanted me to run the family business, so I stayed.”
“They wanted me to carry on the legacy, so I worked hard to honor it.”

My story? A little different.

My parents had one dream—and it wasn’t about a title, a salary, or a path they wanted me to follow.
Their only dream was this:

That I would have the freedom to choose my own dream.

And that, my friends, is exactly what I did.

The Gift They Gave Me

Growing up, I watched my parents navigate life, sacrifices, and responsibilities. Like many in their generation, they didn’t always get to “choose.” Life chose for them. Duty chose for them. Survival chose for them.

And yet… instead of asking me to carry what they couldn’t, they gave me something else entirely: freedom.

The freedom to explore.
The freedom to fail.
The freedom to get curious about who I really was and not who the world expected me to be.

It’s funny, isn’t it? Sometimes the most powerful dream we can give our children is not a road to walk on… but the permission to build their own.

And So, I Chose

I chose medicine. I chose healing. I chose to dive deep into the human body and even deeper into the human soul.

I chose the path of asking questions, of exploring energy, of listening to the whispers that others might overlook.

And here’s the beautiful irony: in giving me freedom, my parents’ dream came true.
And in taking that freedom, my dream came true.

We both won.

A Question for You

Now, let me gently turn this question toward you:

👉🏽 Are you living your dream?
👉🏽 Or are you still carrying the weight of someone else’s?

Sometimes it’s subtle. Maybe you took the “safe” path because it pleased everyone. Maybe you silenced that inner child who once had wild ideas. Maybe you traded your dream for “stability,” because that’s what the world told you to do.

And yet if you’re still reading this some part of you knows.
Your soul is still whispering: “Hey, remember me?”

The Invitation

So today, I invite you to pause and ask yourself:

  • What dream did you come here to live?

  • Are you choosing it?

  • And if not… what would it look like to start?

Because if there’s one thing my parents taught me, it’s this: the most sacred dream you can fulfill is the one that was born inside you.

And if hidden blocks, fear, or old programming are standing in the way I’d be honoured to help you clear them.

Because fulfilling your own dream? That might just be the most beautiful way to honor everyone else’s, too.
